New Worlds
This Symphony No. 9 in E minor Op 95, composed and premiered in 1893, is undoubtedly Antonín Dvořák’s best-known symphony. It was created during the composer’s stay in the USA, which lasted from 1892 to 1895. The Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria under the baton of Josep Gil will perform fragments of its four movements in this didactic concert conceived and presented by Ana Hernández-Sánchiz we will discover the music of Dvořák, but we will also experience some of the functions of music, which accompanies us every day: music to sing, to tell, to dance… to listen.
